LAS VEGAS (Jan. 24, 2007) – Vegas Grand Prix announced today that the deadline for media credential requests is March 30, 2007. The inaugural Vegas Grand Prix will be held April 6-8, 2007 on the streets of downtown Las Vegas.

For more details on media credentials and to download the credential application, visit http://vegasgrandprix.com/docs/working_media_application.pdf. Please note that the grand prix will only accept requests by fax, e-mail or U.S. mail.

Media who wish to cover the event need to send in their requests on company letterhead with the name and job description (i.e. photographer, writer, videographer) of each individual requesting access. The letter must come from a publisher, editor or producer. The Vegas Grand Prix will not accept requests from freelance journalists, writers or photographers. Freelancers working for an accredited news outlet must have the organization that hired them request credentials.

Once the Vegas Grand Prix office has received and processed each request, a confirmation letter will be e-mailed, faxed or mailed to each requestor. Due to insurance requirements, each person listed on the confirmation will have to pick up his/her credential individually. The pick-up location will be listed on the confirmation form.

If you have any questions regarding media credentials, please contact Jana Watt at 702.944.8661 extension 305, or via e-mail at janaw@vegasgrandprix.com.
